Terms & Conditions

Overview

These terms govern your use of the Sanctum website and the booking of any retreat or service offered by Sanctum Wellness Retreats. Please read them carefully before making a booking. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.

Section 2 — Bookings & Deposits

A booking is confirmed once we have received your completed booking form and deposit payment. Deposit amounts vary by retreat and are stated clearly on each retreat page. Your deposit is non-refundable except in the circumstances outlined in Section 4.

Full payment is required 30 days before your retreat start date unless otherwise stated. If full payment is not received by the due date, Sanctum reserves the right to release your place and retain your deposit.

Bookings are personal and non-transferable. If you wish to transfer your place to another person, you must notify us in writing at least 30 days in advance. We will consider transfer requests at our discretion.

Section 3 — Pricing

All prices are listed in Euros unless otherwise stated. Prices are per person and include the elements described on each retreat page. Flights, travel insurance, visas and personal expenses are not included unless explicitly stated.

Sanctum reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time before a booking is confirmed. Once your deposit has been received and your place confirmed, your price is fixed.

Section 4 — Cancellation & Refunds

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. The following cancellation policy applies:

More than 60 days before the retreat start date — full refund of all payments made, excluding the deposit. Between 30 and 60 days — 50% refund of payments made beyond the deposit. Less than 30 days — no refund. The full balance is retained.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation for any reason.

In the rare event that Sanctum must cancel a retreat — due to insufficient bookings, circumstances beyond our control, or facilitator unavailability — we will offer you either a full refund of all payments made or the option to transfer to an alternative retreat date. Sanctum is not liable for any additional costs you may have incurred such as flights or accommodation booked independently.

Section 5 — Health, Fitness & Suitability

Our retreats involve physical and therapeutic practices including yoga, breathwork, somatic work and sound healing. By booking, you confirm that you are in suitable physical and mental health to participate.

You are required to disclose any medical conditions, physical limitations, mental health history or medications that may be relevant to your participation. This information is shared only with your retreat facilitators and held in confidence. Failure to disclose relevant health information may result in you being asked to refrain from certain activities for your own safety.

Sanctum reserves the right to ask a participant to withdraw from a retreat if their presence poses a risk to themselves or others. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued.

Our retreats are not suitable for individuals who are pregnant, have been diagnosed with a serious psychiatric condition and are not currently under professional care, or are in acute crisis. If you are unsure whether a retreat is appropriate for you, please contact us before booking.

Section 6 — Conduct

We ask all participants to approach the retreat with respect for fellow guests, facilitators and the hosting environment. Sanctum reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, harmful or inconsistent with the values of the retreat. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.

The use of alcohol, recreational drugs or non-prescribed substances is not permitted during retreats unless explicitly included as part of the retreat programme.

Section 7 — Photography & Media

Some retreats involve photography for Sanctum's promotional use. You will be informed of this in advance and may opt out at any time. We will never publish images of you without your consent.

You may photograph your own experience during free time. We ask that you do not photograph other participants, ceremonies or facilitated sessions without explicit permission from everyone present.

Section 8 — Liability

Sanctum takes all reasonable steps to ensure your safety and wellbeing during our retreats. However, participation in any physical or therapeutic activity carries inherent risk, and you participate at your own discretion.

Sanctum is not liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your participation in a retreat, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during a retreat.

Our total liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that booking.

Section 9 — Force Majeure

Sanctum shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemic, war, government restrictions, or the unavailability of a retreat venue. In such cases we will make every effort to offer an alternative date or a credit toward a future retreat.

Section 10 — Website Use

Section 11 — Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your booking or use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Section 12 — Contact
